Eugene "Gene" M. Moiles, age 95 of Owosso, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Oliver Woods Retirement Village.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Owosso First United Methodist Church.  Rev. Dr. Deane Wyllys officiated.

Gene was born September 3, 1922 in Owosso, the son of Harry and Jennie (Gurden) Moiles. 　 

He graduated from Owosso High School, class 1941 and proudly served in the United States Army. Gene was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the V.F.W. Corunna Post.

 

Gene married Joyce Lawcock in Owosso on August 4, 1951, and she preceded him in death on February 17, 2018　 

Gene enjoyed all sports including running, track activities, golfing, and football.  He retired from Consumers Energy in 1980 after 29 1/2 years in the Engineering Department. 　 

Eugene is survived by his children, James (Patricia) Moiles of Portage, MI and Joan Moiles of Holt, MI; grandchildren Sean (Emily) Moiles and Lisa (Adam) Slade, Scott (Darla) Topham and Todd Topham; sister Barbara Verrier; several great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family and friends. 　 

He was predeceased by his wife; two sisters Leora and Leona; infant brother Loyce, and brothers; JC, Otis, Victor, Carol, and Lyle.
