Robert "Bob" Alan Jones, age 73 of Corunna, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at his home.

Funeral Services were held on Sunday, July 29, at Nelson-House Funeral Home with Pastor John Walworth officiating.

Bob was born January 10, 1945 in Owosso, Michigan, the son of Bill and Vera (Ptacek) Jones and grew up in Durand, Michigan.  He graduated from Durand High School in the Class of 1963.

Bob married Caren Curry at Mt. Morris UMC on June 7, 1969.

He owned and operated Bill's Food Center in Durand for 30 years and was employed with Nelson-House Funeral Homes as a pre-need consultant for the past 20 years.

Bob was a member of First United Methodist Church in Owosso and the Durand V.F.W. He was an avid MSU football and basketball fan and he looked forward to watching his grandchildren's many sporting events.

He is survived by his wife Caren; children Scott (Erin) Jones, Kevin (Shelly) Jones, Travis (Melinda) Jones and Lindsay (Nathan) Root; grandchildren Brandon and Justin Root, Meredith and William Jones, Drew and Allie Jones, Kilee and Lillian Jones; siblings Mike (Terry) Jones, Dean (Pam) Jones, Jennifer (Casey) Glass; several nieces and nephews and many other loving family and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, Bill and Vera Jones.
