Louise Ardis VanSteenburgh, age 87, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at her home in Owosso.
Funeral Services were on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Nelson-House Funeral Home with Pastor Cal Long officiating. Burial will follow at a later date at Great Lakes National Cemetery.
Louise was born July 4, 1930 in Carland, Michigan, the daughter of Russel and Vaudry (Curtis) Barnard.
She graduated from Owosso High School and later married Donald Ira VanSteenburgh in Roscommon.
She worked at Universal Electric for over 30 years. Louise was a member of the Eagles and volunteered at the Red Cross after fighting breast cancer. She enjoyed bowling, reading, watching game shows and talk shows. Louise enjoyed trips to the casino and making her holiday candy treats.
Louise is survived by her husband Donald; her children Linda Phaneuf, Brent (Dee) Edgeworth, and Julie Ardelean; grandchildren Kristen (Jeremy) Soukup, Megan Phaneuf (Ed Luchessi), Chelsea Chase, Zackariah Edgeworth, Farren Edgeworth, Issac Edgeworth, Brett Ardelean, Gabrielle Lopez; great-grandchildren Parker Soukup, Mitchell Soukup, Lily Chase, Sam Luchessi and Hussian Gabriel; two sisters Sandra (Bob) Bierwagen and Sue (Richard) Smith; several nieces and nephews and many other loving family and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents; two sisters Carol Brookens and Janet Tkaczyk and two sons-in-law Tom Phaneuf and Mike Ardelean.
