Allan Frederick Cohoon, age 74, of Tustin, formerly of Owosso, died November 24, 2017, at his home after a short battle with cancer.

 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 29th at 1:00 PM at Owosso First United Methodist Church.  Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends on Tuesday November 28th from 6-8PM at Watkins Brothers Funeral Home Jennings-Lyons Chapel in Owosso.

 

Al  worked at Delphi East as a Tool & Die maker for over 30 years.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman and also a pitcher for fast pitch softball, winning many local, state and national tournaments.  Al was a member of Marion Gun Club, Shiawassee Conservation Club, the NRA, and a former member of The Durand Sportsman Club. He also enjoyed going to all his grandchildren’s sporting events.

Al is survived by his wife of 54 years, Bonnie (Kimble) Cohoon, his children: Todd Allan Cohoon, Tracy Lynn VanRiper, Tricia Ann McGillis;  grandchildren: Savannnah Cohoon & Madalyn Jones, Hunter & Brodie VanRiper & Karley, Kaiden & Kalvin McGillis his sister Mary Jane Balcueva and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and three sisters and one brother.

 

In lieu of flowers contributions are suggested to First United Methodist Church of Owosso or The Shiawassee County Humane Society.
